We had another of these today, a commercial shopfront that had sewerage leaking through to the shop for a few days. Three plumbers were called to jetblast and unblock / clear the blockage as there were suspected tree root intrusion within the pipes. On all three occasions the plumbers were unsuccessful we were obviously the 4th call and luckily for the owner and tenant the final call.

Our professional plumbers attended the site and found the area that the tree roots were penetrating and managed to clear the pipe and remove the debris with the high pressure jetblaster and also with the aid of our CCTV equipment.

As you can imagine the owner of the business was quite apprehensive at first as they had sewerage continually leaking and had 3 tradesman already attend their premises and not resolve the issue they had little faith that it would be resolved. However their faith had been restored as there was no longer a blocked sewer and nor would there be any further sewerage spilling into their shop.

This issue will return however as the tree roots will always find their way back into the pipe unless there is a permanent fix instated.

Due to the location of the pipe and the extent of the damage the property will require pipe relining within 2 sections of the sewer to fix the problem permanently. This will save the owner time, money and remove the continued pressure from the tenant (Business owner).

When selecting a plumbing company to clear your blocked pipes always ensure they have and use a high pressured jet blaster and that they use a CCTV camera when they are clearing the blockage as if they do not use it there is no way to see whether or not the debris or the problem/s have been removed from the pipe and it is near impossible to perform a “good job”.  Also ensure that they provide you with a solution on how to rectify the issue whether it be by using pipe relining or excavation.

No more smell at the Riverview Hotel…..

Trenchless pipe relining project to rid sewer smell once and for all from the pub and dining area at the Riverview Hotel in Balmain

The Riverview Hotel is a popular pub located in Sydney’s Inner West in Balmain.

For many years local patrons have been frequenting this pub and have always reported to management an unpleasant smell of sewerage. The staff and management have also had trouble with this lingering smell which had no doubt impacted on patrons frequenting the pub. The current owner of the pub advised that many plumbers and relining companies had been contracted to try and rectify the issue and stop the smell. All of their attempts over the years have failed, some walking away from it claiming it was too difficult.

The owner of the pub advised Aqua King that there was a patron who recently had a party in the function room and mentioned to the owner that “I had my 18th birthday party here and it stunk then and it’s my 30th and it still stinks now!”.

The building owner was under constant scrutiny from the pub owner to get this fixed as this was causing him to lose business.

Throughout the pipework there were various unused connections and broken joints so we needed to take a strategic approach and tackle the job section by section.

5 Storey high building with pierced pvc downpipe

Recently we attended a building site where a construction worker went through a pvc downpipe with a rio bar. This was an issue that needed rectifying straight away as it was causing water to leak. The building was 5 storeys high and the downpipe was encased within the brickwork so to get to it without relining was near impossible.

We attended the site and performed our assessment and it was a straight forward job for us, many other relining companies can not perform these type of repairs as their technology and equipment limit them.

We performed a 2 meter pipe reline and sealed off the area that contained the piercings. This was done in 2 hours with minimal interruptions to the site and workers and no issues. We returned the next day to take the bladder out and the resin adhered perfectly to the host pipe and the leak was fixed.
